Black Crown collaborated with the team from Sons of Anarchy to create this revved-up number. The result is a robust cigar that delivers a lot of complexity and a nicely balanced toasty finish. Black Crown Sons of Anarchy cigars are made in Honduras, where they get packed full of aged Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers. On top of these rests a Criollo ’98 binder. Then an uber-fermented Ecuadorian Oscuro leaf wraps everything up, and this bandit is ready to rumble.
The upper band on Black Crown Sons of Anarchy cigars is the iconic Sons of Anarchy reaper logo with the top rocker reading “SONS OF ANARCHY” and then “REDWOOD ORIGINAL” on the bottom rocker. The wrapper is dark and oily, just like a good motorcycle. The leaf is free of veins, and the seams are hidden. The first third is spicy and sweet. We’re getting a good deal of leather, pepper, spice, and sweetness. The smoke output is incredible. It’s making us feel like badass outlaws.
Moving into the second third of one of our Black Crown Sons of Anarchy cigars and the pepper has picked up. A new cedar note has arrived, along with a tobacco flavor. All the other flavors have balanced out nicely. The smoke is creamy and relaxing. The final third is producing vast clouds of smoke. Cedar and spice carry us home as the other flavors continue their brilliant balancing act.
