Drew Estate teamed up with Joya de Nicaragua to create this burly and commanding line of cigars. With a 60 ring gauge (on average), the Drew Estate My Uzi Weighs a Ton (“MUWAT”) lives up to its unusual title. The story of its name goes back to the factory floor, when founder Jonathan Drew went to pick up a bundle of 50 of these smokes and said, “Damn, my Uzi weighs a ton!” After a big laugh, the name stuck. This smoke is generously packed and gives off a very slow, cool burn. For a large, brooding cigar the energetic punch of earth and sweetness packs a punch in this complex recipe. The MUWAT lingers past each flavor, cascading with notes of sweet tea, cinnamon, mocha and hints of licorice. Beneath the surface is a definite base of leather and earth, with a touch of toasted cedar throughout. The MUWAT has enough flavor to please the experienced smoker, but smooth enough for a novice to enjoy.
