The Drew Estate rollers are quite a talented bunch, and this line continues the legacy at Drew Estate of “Blending on the Factory Floor.” The factory workers had to cut back from smoking Liga Privadas, and choose to shuffle the blend by making use of different tobacco primings. Even the name reflects the process that brought them into existence. If the Liga Privada is blended for the king (the Management), then “Undercrown” is blended for the prince (the Rollers). This is the third and highly-anticipated release in Drew Estate’s popular Undercrown line, and features an Ecuadorian Sumatra seed and a Sun Grown Wrapper and a powerhouse blend of Nicaraguan premium fillers. The Undercrown Sungrown provides a brilliant balance of sweetness and spice, and has gripping notes of tang that set it apart from the rest. In our estimation the Undercrown Sungrown is a cigar suitable for a king, fit for a prince, and a delight for the rest of us commoners.
