Gurkha Pure Evil cigars were a blend from the early aughts that had been forgotten. When you’re a brand as prolific as Gurkha, you can lose some blends by the wayside when you’re focused on bigger and better things. But, as Gurkha VP of Sales Juan Lopez reports, the company has rediscovered Pure Evil. It was lurking in their factory in Nicaragua, waiting for the moment when unsuspecting morals would once again unleash it upon the world.
Get yer holy water ready. You’re going to do battle with the darkest forces in creation.
Wait, what? You’re opening the door? You can handle it just fine? Okay. Suit yourself. We’ll send a pack of Pure Evil your way. Just don’t say we didn’t warn ya.
This time around, the blend is along the same lines as the original, with a new twist. It’s a Nicaraguan cigar with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper. The company describes it in a humble fashion as having “hints of earth and spice with a smooth, clean finish.” So, it doesn’t go too crazy for a cigar with such an intimidating name. In fact, it’s potent but not over the top in terms of strength, complexity, or the “darkness” of the flavor notes.
Misdirection in a cigar? That’s pure evil…
Ah. Now we get it!
