The best cigar companies in the world have lots to celebrate. It seems like every year is the anniversary of either the company’s founding or a big birthday for the founder (or the founder’s father, or his father’s father). For that reason, limited editions are always coming out to commemorate milestones.
My Father limited edition cigars have seen a number of releases. The cigars typically come in individual coffins, and (at least at the outset of the limited edition series) were rumored to be bunched by Jaime Garcia and rolled by company founder Don Pepin Garcia, the Tabaquero Maestro himself. 2013 - Don Pepin Garcia 10th Anniversary This cigar commemorates the 10th anniversary of the founding of Don Pepin’s own company in Miami, then called El Rey de los Habanos. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano, and the filler blend features a Pelo D’Oro addition to the Nicaraguan tobaccos from the original.
2015 - My Father Limited Edition 5th Anniversary This cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper, with corojo 2006 inside, along with Habano binders and other Nicaraguan fillers. It commemorates the 5th anniversary of the 2010 My Father Limited Edition release.
2016 - Le Bijou 1922 Limited Edition Fresh off the Cigar of the Year win in 2015, the Garcias updated their world-class blend and re-released it. This version features the same Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers, but adds Pelo D’Oro leaf to take things in a new direction.
2018 - Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary Limited Edition Another mouth-watering blend that features Nicaraguan Rosado Oscuro over Nicaraguan filler tobacco, including Pelo D’Oro. This cigar celebrates the 15th Anniversary of the company’s founding.
