Tatuaje ashtrays are high-quality cigar accessories from a brand that cuts no corners. Tatuaje Founder Pete Johnson is the genuine article. He built his business from the ground up and has always put out cigars and accessories that anyone would be proud of. He doesn’t go over the top with fancy luxury style. Instead, he’s a grounded, down-to-earth dude who makes great stogies and products like lighters and ashtrays you can rely on to do the job whenever you need.
What else would you expect from a metalhead turned cigar mogul?
One of our favorite Tatuaje ashtrays is simply called “The Stash.” The name comes from the fact that the ashtray features a little drawer to hold your lighter, cutter, eyedrops, or cyanide capsule (in case of capture).
It’s also got a little mustache on it. Get it? The “stash” spot?
He’s got a sense of humor, this Pete Johnson.
The ashtray is deep enough for a huge session with your buddies and has a few saddles/holders so you can rest a smoke when you have to get up to go to the beer fridge, liquor cabinet, or sound system.
Do people still have to walk over to sound systems, or is it all handled using your mobile device? Well, whether you’ve got an old-school turntable or you’re an all-digital zoomer who got into cigars, you can pop your stick down in a Tatuaje ashtray for a spell if you need your hands free for a moment.
Tatuaje ashtrays are often pretty handsome little works of art. The company style generally incorporates black tones and favors a minimalist appearance over things that are ornate. The brand name means “tattoo,” and Mr. Johnson has quite a few of them. This is the type of cigar accessory you’d expect to find in the lounge or patio of a guy or girl who has a motorcycle, lives loud, and who really doesn’t give much of a shit about what people think of them. But despite being a certified badass, they still are civilized enough not to ash on the floor.
Tatuaje may seem rough around the edges, but the products this company makes are as refined as they come. Believe it or not, it was a collaboration with My Father cigars owner José “Don Pepin” Garcia (called Tatuaje Cabinet Tainos cigars) that helped put both Tatuaje and Garcia on the map for the mainstream cigar fan audience. If a legend like Don Pepin trusts the Tatuaje approach, it’s good enough for us too. Tatuaje presents in a bold way but brings the utmost care to the art of cigar and accessory making.
We’ll raise a cigar to that anytime.
