It began with initial workshops with Mr. Garcia, where the experienced master blender would offer up possible cigars for testing. Johnson wound up choosing a Cuban cigar he enjoyed and asked if Don Pepin would be able to mimic that flavor profile. He nailed it, and the Cabinet Tainos blend was a 90+ point hit right away. We didn’t know it at the time, but in a way, it was the first Tatuaje limited edition cigar on the market.
Since then, the company has come a long way, with a wealth of tasty blends produced each year. Sometimes, these lead to an opportunity to create a Tatuaje limited edition cigar.
