Do you enjoy the Tatuaje Havana VI line? Do you also like to keep your wallet healthy? If so, cigars are the wrong hobby/vice to get into, but the Tatuaje Series P can ease your burdens a bit.
Series P cigars are an offshoot of the famous Tatuaje Havana VI line that uses Nicaraguan long and short-filler tobacco in the interior blend, instead of all long-filler. This keeps the price down, while still offering a lot of the same flavors that made the original so popular.
The best way to tell them apart (aside from smoking them) is the label. Original Havana VI cigars have a brown label. Today’s Havana VI cigars use a red label. The Tatuaje Series P cigar, on the other hand, features a white label.
This cigar has a great “family pedigree.” The Havana VI took the #25 spot in Cigar Aficionado’s 2014 list of the Top 25 Cigars in the world. The rich toast and earth flavors found in the Artistas vitola earned it a 91 rating that just pushed this one into the winner’s circle. Now, you can get a taste of award-winning tobaccos without having to pay award winner prices.
Havana VI series cigars are no longer made at Jose “Pepin” Garcia’s El Rey de Los Habanos factory in Little Havana. Now, they’re rolled up in Nicaragua. But with a lighter’s flame and a little imagination, the Series P can almost bring you back to that same stick that took the nod from the judges a few short years ago.
