The Trinidad Espiritu No. 1 cigar was blended to emulate classic Cuban cigars from the 1960s and 70s. For fans of traditional flavors and methods, this is a tasty smoke.

Originally, Trinidad was known as a Cuban cigar brand (and it wasn’t named for the island of Trinidad, but for a city in Cuba). The versions available at Cigars Direct, however, are non-Cubans created for sale in the United States by Altadis in collaboration with highly skilled blenders.

In this case, A.J. Fernandez was tapped to create a properly Cubanesque cigar using Nicaraguan tobacco, as he does nearly every day.
