Padron 1964
The piramide shape really appeals to me. This is a very smooth cigar, easy to smoke, with medium to full strength
Third box of Padron 1964
These are so good but high dollar. I savored every drag. Can't afford to waste any.
Why?
I traded a friend 3 Ashton VSG Sorcerer stogies for 2 of these and now wish I had the VSG’s back. Both the Padron 1964 Piramide Natural sticks were fairly routine which was a huge disappointment after all I’ve read about them. They were good – basic tobacco taste with some nice cedar highlights, but not the 9+ cigars I heard about. Was it an anomaly?
Too Rich for Me
There’s no doubt that this is a 9’er stogie. But so are a handful of my favorite cigars that cost far less. I just can’t justify smoking more than a couple of these a year. Give me 2 or 3 Oliva Serie V or Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic cigars and I’ll be very happy. I love this one, just not very often. Rating suffers because of price.
