Quesada cigars have made quality smokes for decades, and the family can trace its roots in the Cuban tobacco business back MUCH farther than that. The current incarnation was founded by Manual Quesada in 1974 in the Dominican Republic.
In addition to their own house brand, they are responsible for non-Cuban Fonsecas and a lovely line of cigars called Casa Magna that routinely scores in the 90s with Cigar Aficionado’s discriminating judges.
For recommendations, try the 1) Reserva Privada if you’d like a smooth and creamy Connecticut, 2) Selección España for something a bit more interesting, 3) Tributo for a hearty flavor and good strength, and 4) the 70th when you want dark and earthy. All are 90+ smokes. Despite the brand’s longevity, this is an under-the-radar blend in today’s hype-filled cigar market!
The company stands for premium quality stogies, triumph over adversity, and a willingness to keep improving over time. With a complete portfolio of blends, we expect they’ll be busy keeping smokers happy for many decades.
