Trinidad cigars some will know as a longstanding Cuban brand. The version we sell is a non-Cuban made by Altadis with the help of cigar-making masters like Rafael Nodal (the palate behind the 2019 Cigar Aficionado Cigar of the Year, the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua), and A.J. Fernandez, the famous blender responsible for countless delicious 90+ rated cigars.
The brand isn’t named after the island of Trinidad, but instead of the Cuban city La Santisima Trinidad (the “Holy Trinity”). A rare smoke made in limited batches from the late 1960s onward, Trinidad cigars were originally reserved for diplomatic use as gifts to foreign dignitaries. Over time, they were offered for sale more broadly, and ultimately versions for sale to the United States were developed. Now, highly skilled collaborators help bring Trinidad cigars to life for a new audience of smokers.
If you’re a fan of classic Cuban cigars, Trinidad cigars are worth a smoke. With the help of master blenders, each of these stogies offers a rich experience that should please aficionados old and new.
