Five Power Sticks You’ll Love

If you prefer strong cigars, those with lots of spicy flavors, then here are five full-flavored cigars that are absolutely can’t miss choices.
1. Alec Bradley Prensado: The Churchill was a 2011 Cigar of the Year. We could say, “enough said,” but we’ll give you a few details. The rating given the stick by Cigar Aficionado was a 96. We’ll say more! The wrapper is a rich Corojo aged since 2006 before then being fermented for two years. This Alec Bradley cigar is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy with a very Cubanesque aura. They’re a bit expensive, but near perfection comes at a price.
2. CAO Brazilia Box Press: This is a 90+ stick in many top reviews. This full-flavored stick also arrives with a lot of body, so it is a great choice for seasoned smokers who like it heavy. The power and flavor come from the rich blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos. They’re finished with a very fine Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper. Excellent aging and fermentation are on a wonderful display.
3. La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero 700: The clue is “Double Ligero!” Taken from the highest primings, the filler tobaccos are rich in flavor and strength. A gorgeous Sumatra-seed Ecuadorian wrapper enhances the hot-blooded tobacco within.
4. Ashton VSG: You likely knew these 90+ cigars would be on the list, but we wanted to include a tried and true, very consistent cigar you can count on every time it’s power time. The Virgin Sun Grown is crafted for Ashton by no less a star as Carlos Fuente, Jr. who uses tobaccos four and five years old. The farm is owned by the Oliva family who knows a thing or two about cigar perfection. It’s no wonder this is a perennial winner.
5. Diamond Crown Maximus: This one has roots on Oliva soil too, the El Bajo farm where the awesome Ecuadorian wrapper is grown. The flavor is full of spice and nuts; the body is strong. This is a finely constructed, handsome cigar.
