At the age of 22, Swiss-born Sébastien Decoppet sold everything and moved to Honduras to learn more about his passion—cigars. As fate would have it, he soon met Nestor Plasencia's nephew, Adin. In no time, Decoppet was working in one of the Plasencia factories and learning everything he could about the industry. Before long, he acquired the knowledge and skill to strike out on his own and create Cavalier Genève Cigars.
Cavalier Genève Cigars is a small-batch boutique brand with the tagline, "Smoke Gold, Stay Gold." The line is fitting as each cigar rocks a 24-karat gold foil diamond on the wrapper leaf. Apparently, Decoppet knows a thing or two about branding as well. Every Cavalier Genève Cigar is blended by Decoppet, co-owner Eylin, and Adin Plasencia. This mix of palates and combined knowledge creates complex, balanced blends with unique profiles for which the company is known.
In the Cavalier Genève White Series, the brand's flagship line, we see a four-country filler blend from the U.S., Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Paraguay that creates a mild to medium strength smoke where the flavors have room to shine.
