Before Erik Espinosa, founder of Espinosa Cigars started releasing his own brands, he worked nearly every facet of the cigar industry. Born in Havana but raised in Miami, Espinosa’s passion for cigars comes from his father. He acquired the rest of his cigar knowledge working positions like a sales rep, independent broker, and retail cigar owner. Along the way, he worked for or with leading industry names such as Rocky Patel, Drew Estate, Alex Bradley, and Gurkha.
EO Brands launched in 2003 with Espinosa and Eddie Ortega at the helm. They released numerous successful brands, including Murcielago, 601, and La Bomba. Ultimately, EO Brands dissolved. By the time of Espinosa Cigars' founding and the opening of his La Zona Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua in 2012, Erik had pieced together a large following and was ready to get back to work.
After EO Brands came to an end, Erik continued releasing a number of its brands under the Espinosa name, including Murcielago, 601, and more.
Espinosa Cigars’ aim is to offer the connoisseur a portfolio of premium cigars from which to select the perfect cigar for every moment, occasion, and mood. Their quality blends expertly balance strength and flavor.
Among the most popular Espinosa cigars is the Espinosa Laranja Reserva which sports a stunning orange-hued Brazilian Laranja wrapper and was named Cigar Aficionado’s No. 13 cigar of 2015. Then there is the full-strength Espinosa Murcielago which uses a midnight black Mexican San Andres Maduro leaf to help serve up flavors of sweetness, spice, and cocoa. If you’re looking for something more on the mellow side, there’s the Espinosa Crema Connecticut, which stays calm throughout without dialing back the flavor. And we would be remiss not to mention the Espinosa Warzone, which Cigar Aficionado named the No.13 cigar of 2013.
Whatever your pleasure is, Espinosa cigars offer you a way to get that and more.
